3rd XI Match Report

On a windy and overcast day at Uckfield the captain won the toss and elected to field first on a wicket that was a little underprepared.

Opening the bowling was Adam Howard who bowled with good pace taking early wickets with support at the other end by Warren Wright. Andy Parker also contributed with 3 wickets early in his spell with Madhev Sharma taking the another wicket, only Peter Holman from Uckfield managing to contribute with a superb 79, before being bowled by Adam Howard who then went on to take a hat trick with great figures of 8.3 overs, 6 wickets for 2 runs, bowling Uckfield out in 30.3 overs for 121.

Mayfields run chase did not start well losing wickets at regularly intervals also losing a wicket to a silly run out. Madhev Sharma and Mark Alexander managing to steady the innings with 29 and 20 not out respectively in the 25th over to complete the victory
