Mayfield Colts

The Club's objective is ultimately to integrate our colts section into the club structure, introduce juniors to adult cricket via the Sunday or 3rd XIs,  and encourage more parental involvement.  We also need members and parents to help by attending Sussex CCC basic coaching courses. Club Welfare Officer and Colts Manager Neil Macdonald, and Andy Parker are striving to achieve this. We are constantly on the lookout for new players.

Scorers, umpires, tea-makers and general assistants are always much needed, primarily, we hope, from the ranks of colts' parents. 

The Section currently caters for team age groups at U-11, U-13 and U-15 levels - see fixture lists shown.  Coaching is planned for Wednesday evenings, subject to the current ground and pavilion projects, under the control of ECB qualified coaches. 

We have entered teams respectively into three leagues, with fixtures played primarily on a Sunday morning.  The U-11's play in a soft ball league, whereas the U-13's and U-15's play 22 overs a side hardball cricket.
